THE GREAT WATER GAME

The world is heading towards an uncertain climatic era.Water which has got a wide ambit of appliication has already started putting its immense pressure over the world relations. The riparian states are feeling the burden along with the small island groups. But the only difference is when the former is faced with a shortage of water the other is concerned with the flooding of water. Its almost certain that we are going to live in between two extremities ie either draught or flood. The power of water will be dictating the international strategy with more thrust from now and nations will give it more weightage.It is a paradox scenario that Asia is grappling with its resources esp water resource at a time when it is redefining its place. The multi country water disputes, be it territorial or river disputes may end up in a huge crisis in future by prompting International military spending to go further up and the result will be a diminishing Human Development  Index and a general insecure feeling through out the world. The future is certainly bleak for many of us!!
